Now powered by the Abyss X1, again, but on an Ubuntu 11.04 Linux box: http://brashley46.no-ip.info My Windows box suffered a final, terminal OS crash, and we moved the http://ndpsocialists.ca site to a commercial host and rebuilt it. Will consider paying for the latest version of X2 if I ever decide to host two websites simultaneously again, it "just worked" for the years I have used it and is still the simplest webserver solution out there as far as I can see!

If you're going to outsource hosting, don't forget to consider renting a Windows-based VPS (virtual private server) and install Abyss Web Server on it. This way, you gain the advantage of not having to host the computer at home. You'll also have a higher bandwidth. And you still can install and manage your "own" virtual computer and use the software you're familiar with for your hosting needs.
